Torrey
Overview
Torrey is the tiny highway town at Capitol Reef’s west edge—fruit orchards in Fruita, dark-sky nights, and a handful of lodges feeding hikers headed into sandstone country. Scenic Drive and Cathedral Valley access start here; Torrey-to-Hanksville runs feel remote fast. Services are limited; water and fuel planning matter as much as trail maps.
