California
Nevada City
Overview
Nevada City is a Sierra foothill gold-rush town with a steep, strolling downtown—brick Victorians, independent theaters, and a dense calendar of music and makers’ fairs. Sacramento and Tahoe trips sit in easy range, but the town earns its own night with walkable dinners and forested ridges minutes away. Snow and fire season both change the weekend calculus.
